Measures of Health (MOH)

Measures of Health (MOH) are indicators used to assess the overall well-being of a population. They include statistics like life expectancy, which shows average lifespan; mortality rates, indicating the frequency of deaths; and disease prevalence, measuring how common certain illnesses are. These measures help health professionals and policymakers understand health trends, identify areas needing improvement, and plan effective health interventions. Essentially, MOH provide a snapshot of a community’s health status, guiding efforts to improve quality of life and health outcomes.
