McVeigh's Oklahoma City bombing
The Oklahoma City bombing was a domestic terrorist attack on April 19, 1995, carried out by Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols. They bombed the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building, killing 168 people and injuring hundreds. McVeigh, motivated by anti-government beliefs, parked a truck filled with explosives outside the building and detonated it, causing massive destruction and loss of life. The attack was one of the deadliest in U.S. history, prompting widespread shock and leading to increased security measures against domestic terrorism.
