Dr. Ronald E. McNair was a renowned physicist and astronaut who flew on the Space Shuttle Challenger in 1986. He was committed to advancing science, education, and inspiring others, especially minorities in STEM fields. Prior to his NASA career, he earned a doctorate in physics and worked as a researcher and educator. Tragically, his life was cut short in the Challenger disaster, but he remains a symbol of perseverance, achievement, and the importance of pursuing space exploration and education for all.
