MCG

MCG, or Mean Corpuscular Hemoglobin, measures the average amount of hemoglobin contained in a single red blood cell. Hemoglobin is the protein that carries oxygen throughout your body. A high or low MCG value can indicate different health issues, such as anemia or vitamin deficiencies. It's part of a standard blood test called a Complete Blood Count (CBC). By evaluating MCG, doctors can better understand the cause of symptoms like fatigue or weakness and determine appropriate treatment options.
