McCaig's Tower
McCaig's Tower is a large, unfinished stone monument in Oban, Scotland, designed to resemble a Roman-style colosseum. Built in the late 19th century by local banker John McCaig, it was intended as a grand mausoleum and public facility, providing work during economic downturns. Although construction stopped after McCaig's death, the partially built structure offers stunning views over the town and bay. Today, it serves as a popular tourist attraction and a unique example of Victorian architecture, symbolizing local ambition and history.
