Mazzini (Giuseppe Mazzini)
Giuseppe Mazzini (1805–1872) was an Italian nationalist and revolutionary leader who championed the idea of a united Italy. He believed in the power of grassroots activism and moral motivation to achieve independence and unify the Italian states into a single nation. Mazzini founded organizations like Young Italy to mobilize citizens for this cause, promoting ideas of democracy, liberty, and national identity. His efforts inspired many Italians to work towards independence and played a key role in Italy’s eventual unification, although he did not live to see the full realization of a united Italy.
