Mazhab
Mazhab refers to a school or methodology of Islamic jurisprudence that interprets and applies Islamic law (Sharia) based on specific principles, sources, and scholarly traditions. There are several major Mazhabs, such as Hanafi, Maliki, Shafi'i, and Hanbali, each with unique approaches to how religious texts are understood and laws are derived. Essentially, Mazhab provides structured frameworks for practicing and understanding Islam, allowing Muslims to follow consistent interpretations while accommodating diverse cultural and contextual differences within the Muslim community.
