Mawlawi

A Mawlawi is a member of a Sufi Muslim order known as the Mawlawiya or Whirling Dervishes, most famously associated with the spiritual practices of the Mevlevi Order in Turkey. They follow a spiritual path that emphasizes love, devotion, and the pursuit of divine truth through prayer, meditation, poetry, and music. One of their distinctive practices is the whirling dance or Sema, which symbolizes the soul's journey toward God. Mawlawis are respected for their devotion and aim to foster inner peace, spiritual growth, and harmony in society through their traditions.
