Master Franchise Agreements
A Master Franchise Agreement is a legal contract between the franchisor (the company offering the franchise) and a master franchisee (an individual or company). It grants the master franchisee the rights to operate and develop multiple franchise locations within a specific region or territory. The master franchisee can also sell or license smaller franchise units to other entrepreneurs. Essentially, it’s a way for the franchisor to expand efficiently by partnering with someone who acts as a local representative and developer, rather than opening all locations themselves.
