Mastaba of Kagemni
The Mastaba of Kagemni is an ancient Egyptian tomb built for Kagemni, a high-ranking official during the 4th Dynasty. It’s a rectangular, flat-roofed structure made of mud bricks, with decorated walls that depict scenes from Kagemni's life, including his duties and offerings to the gods. Inside, the tomb contained a burial chamber where Kagemni’s remains were placed, along with statues and inscriptions meant to ensure his well-being in the afterlife. This tomb exemplifies the funerary architecture and artistic style of the Old Kingdom, reflecting the importance of noble officials and their beliefs in eternal life.
