Mass transport

Mass transport is the process by which molecules or particles move from one location to another, driven by differences such as concentration, pressure, or temperature. It includes mechanisms like diffusion, where particles spread out from an area of high concentration to low concentration, and bulk flow or convection, where fluid movement carries substances along. This movement is essential in natural systems (like oxygen reaching cells) and industrial processes (such as removing waste or delivering nutrients). Essentially, mass transport ensures that materials are distributed efficiently within systems, maintaining proper function and balance.
