Masjid al-Aqsa
Masjid al-Aqsa is a major Islamic holy site located in Jerusalem’s Old City. It is regarded as the third holiest mosque in Islam, after Mecca and Medina. The mosque is part of the larger Al-Haram al-Sharif (Noble Sanctuary), which includes the Dome of the Rock. Historically, it is believed to be the place where the Prophet Muhammad ascended to heaven during the Night Journey.
