MAS

MAS, or Multi-Agent System, refers to a network of independent computer programs, called agents, that work together to solve complex problems. Each agent has specific roles and can perceive its environment, make decisions, and communicate with other agents. This collaboration allows the system to handle tasks that are too large, dynamic, or distributed for a single program, such as coordinating traffic flows or managing supply chains. Essentially, MAS mimics how multiple autonomous entities collaborate to achieve common goals efficiently in complex settings.
