Marxist political economy

Marxist political economy analyzes how economic systems, especially capitalism, shape society and power. It examines how the means of producing goods and services—like factories and land—are owned and controlled by a few wealthy individuals or classes. Workers sell their labor but don’t own the products they create, leading to profits that benefit the owners. Marxists believe this dynamic creates class struggles and inequality. The goal is to understand these relationships to promote social change toward a more equitable system, often advocating for collective ownership and the redistribution of resources.
