Marxism and law
Marxism views society as divided into classes based on ownership and control of resources, particularly the working class (proletariat) and the owning class (bourgeoisie). It sees law as a tool that reflects and sustains the interests of the ruling class by maintaining inequalities. According to Marxist theory, laws serve to protect property rights and reproduce the social order that benefits the wealthy, often at the expense of workers. Ultimately, Marxism advocates for a classless society where resources and power are shared more equally, transforming or abolishing existing legal structures to achieve social justice.
