Mars Exploration Rover (MER)

The Mars Exploration Rover (MER) mission involved two robotic rovers, Spirit and Opportunity, sent by NASA to explore Mars. Launched in 2003, their goal was to investigate the planet's surface, geology, and climate to understand its history and potential for past life. Equipped with cameras, tools, and instruments, they studied rocks, soil, and terrain, sending valuable data back to Earth. These rovers provided detailed images and scientific insights, greatly expanding our knowledge of Mars. Spirit operated until 2010, and Opportunity until 2018, demonstrating the success of robotic exploration and paving the way for future Mars missions.
