Markos Vafiadis

Markos Vafiadis was a prominent Greek communist revolutionary and a leading figure in the Communist Party of Greece. Born in 1918, he was deeply involved in leftist politics, resisting oppressive regimes and advocating for social justice and workers’ rights. During the Greek Civil War (1946-1949), he fought with communist forces against government troops. Vafiadis remained active in politics throughout his life, promoting communist ideals and efforts for social equality.
