Mark I Tank

The Mark I tank was the first-ever tank used in combat during World War I, introduced by the British Army in 1916. It was designed to break through enemy trenches and barbed wire. The Mark I had a distinctive rhomboid shape, allowing it to cross obstacles. It was armed with cannons and machine guns, and featured tracks instead of wheels, giving it better mobility on rough terrain. Although slow and limited in speed, the Mark I marked a significant advancement in armored warfare, leading to the development of modern tanks used in subsequent conflicts.
