Marine Corps Officer Candidates School (OCS) is a rigorous training program designed to evaluate and develop individuals aspiring to become commissioned officers in the U.S. Marine Corps. Held over approximately 10 weeks, it tests candidates’ leadership, physical endurance, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities through intensive physical training, classroom instruction, and field exercises. The goal is to assess their potential for leadership and commitment to Marine Corps values. Successful candidates demonstrate resilience, discipline, and strategic insight, earning the rank of Second Lieutenant and the credentials to lead Marines in various operational settings.
