Maria Miller (UK politician)

Maria Miller is a British politician who was a member of the Conservative Party. She served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Basingstoke from 2001 to 2017. Miller held several government positions, including Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport from 2012 to 2014. Her career faced controversy in 2014 when she resigned from her ministerial role amid an expenses scandal, involving the misuse of public funds for personal benefit. Despite the controversy, she continued as an MP until she decided not to stand for re-election in 2017.
