Margraviate of Anspach-Bayreuth

The Margraviate of Anspach-Bayreuth was a small principality within the Holy Roman Empire, centered around the regions of Anspach and Bayreuth in present-day Germany. It was ruled by the Margraves of Brandenburg, later known as the Margraves of Brandenburg-Bayreuth, from the early 18th century until the early 19th century. The territory was characterized by its cultural and architectural development, notably under Margrave Christian Heinrich. It was a semi-autonomous state that played a role in the political landscape of the empire, ultimately coming under Bavarian control in 1810 after the dissolution of the Holy Roman Empire.
