Margaret Juntwait was an American radio and television broadcaster best known as the longtime host of "A Prairie Home Companion," a popular weekly radio variety show. She joined the show in 2004 and was known for her warm voice, engaging presence, and deep appreciation for music, storytelling, and folk traditions. Juntwait also worked as a radio announcer for the Metropolitan Museum of Art. She was respected for her professionalism and contribution to American cultural programming, bringing a sense of familiarity and warmth to listeners. Sadly, she passed away in 2015 after battling cancer.
