Maršal Tito (Marshal Tito)
Marshal Josip Broz Tito was a Yugoslav revolutionary and political leader who led the resistance against Axis occupation during World War II. After the war, he became the founding president of Yugoslavia, a federation of six republics, and held power from 1943 until his death in 1980. Tito was known for uniting diverse ethnic groups and maintaining independence from the Soviet Union, adopting a unique socialist policy called "Titoism." His leadership kept Yugoslavia relatively stable and prosperous during his tenure, but after his death, ethnic tensions led to the country's eventual breakup in the 1990s.
