Manta Ray
A manta ray is a large, gentle marine creature related to sharks, known for its wide, wing-like pectoral fins that resemble wings. It can reach spans of up to 29 feet and is characterized by a flattened body, a broad head, and a distinctive cephalic fin that extends from its head to help funnel plankton and small fish into its mouth. Manta rays are filter feeders, swimming gracefully through the ocean to capture their food. They are generally harmless to humans, often seen gliding near the surface or in coral reefs, and are valued for their role in marine ecosystems and marine tourism.
