Mansabdari System

The Mansabdari System was a military and administrative organization used by the Mughal Empire in India. It classified officers and soldiers into ranks called "mansabs," each associated with a number indicating their status and the size of their force. Higher-ranked mansabs commanded more soldiers and received greater allowances. This system ensured organized military hierarchy and efficient resource distribution, tying personal status to military service. It helped the Mughal rulers maintain control over their empire by standardizing military ranks and rewards, fostering loyalty, and managing a large, diverse administrative structure.
