Manas

Manas, in Indian philosophy, refers to the mind or cognitive faculty responsible for perception, thought, memory, and decision-making. It functions as the inner processing center that interprets sensory information, enables reasoning, and forms desires and intentions. Manas interacts with other aspects of the mind, such as Buddhi (intellect) and Ahamkara (ego), to shape our mental and emotional responses. Essentially, it is the dynamic mental agency that helps us understand our experience and guides our actions, forming a crucial component of our overall consciousness and psychological functioning.
