Mammalian systems

Mammalian systems are the organized groups of organs and tissues that work together to keep the body functioning properly. Key systems include the circulatory system, which moves blood and nutrients; the respiratory system, responsible for breathing and oxygen intake; the digestive system, which processes food and absorbs nutrients; the nervous system, that controls and coordinates body activities; and the immune system, defending against infections. Other important systems are the musculoskeletal system, providing support and movement, and the excretory system, removing waste. Together, these interconnected systems maintain health, enable growth, and support life processes.
