Malaria Control Programmes
Malaria Control Programmes aim to reduce and eventually eliminate malaria by using strategies such as distributing insecticide-treated bed nets, spraying homes with insecticides, providing prompt diagnosis and effective treatment, and educating communities about prevention. These efforts focus on protecting vulnerable populations, especially in high-risk areas, by targeting the mosquitoes that transmit the disease and ensuring people have access to proper healthcare. The goal is to interrupt the transmission cycle of malaria, decrease the illness burden, and save lives through coordinated, evidence-based actions.
