Malala Yousafzai is a Pakistani education advocate known for her activism for girls' education, especially in her home region of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where the Taliban restricted access to schooling. In 2012, she survived an assassination attempt for speaking out against these oppressions. Malala has since become a global symbol of the fight for educational rights, co-authoring the memoir "I Am Malala" and co-founding the Malala Fund to support education initiatives worldwide. In 2014, she was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, making her the youngest-ever laureate, recognized for her brave efforts to promote education and empower young women.
