Maksutov-Cassegrain design

The Maksutov-Cassegrain is a type of telescope that uses a combination of lenses and mirrors to gather and focus light, providing clear and sharp images. Its main features include a thick, meniscus-shaped lens (called a corrector) at the front that reduces optical distortions, a curved secondary mirror that redirects light, and a primary mirror at the back that collects light and reflects it back through a hole in the secondary mirror to an eyepiece.
