Maimonides (Rabbeinu Moshe ben Maimon)
Maimonides, also known as Rabbeinu Moshe ben Maimon or Rambam, was a medieval Jewish scholar, philosopher, and physician from 12th-century Spain. He is best known for his comprehensive Jewish legal code, the "Mishneh Torah," which organized and clarified Jewish law for future generations. Maimonides also authored philosophical works, such as "The Guide for the Perplexed," blending Jewish theology with rational thought. As a physician, he served in Egypt and contributed to medical knowledge of his time. His writings remain foundational in Jewish thought, philosophy, and law, influencing both religious and secular fields worldwide.
