Maha Nikaya

Maha Nikaya is one of the main Buddhist monastic traditions, especially prominent in Theravāda Buddhism, primarily practiced in countries like Sri Lanka and Myanmar. It represents the largest monastic fraternity, comprised of fully ordained monks who follow specific rules and teachings aimed at practicing discipline, meditation, and study of the Buddha’s teachings.
