Madhva Brahma Sutra

The Madhva Brahma Sutra is a philosophical text from the 13th-century philosopher Madhva, explaining his interpretation of the foundational teachings of Advaita Vedanta. Unlike the non-dualist view that sees Brahman as formless and identical with everything, Madhva's dualism emphasizes a clear distinction between the individual soul (jiva), the divine (Vishnu or God), and the universe. The sutra system offers logical reasoning to articulate this dual relationship, asserting that God is independent and supreme, and that individual souls and the material world are separate and subordinate to Him. It aims to establish a structured understanding of devotion, reality, and spiritual knowledge.
