Maimonide, also known as Rabbi Moses ben Maimon or Rambam, was a medieval Jewish scholar, philosopher, and physician from Spain, living in the 12th century. He is renowned for his influential writings on Jewish law, particularly the *Mishneh Torah*, a comprehensive code of Jewish legal principles. Maimonide also made significant contributions to philosophy, blending Jewish theology with Aristotelian ideas, and was a pioneering figure in medicine, writing influential medical texts.
