M13
M13, also known as the Great Hercules Cluster, is a large group of hundreds of thousands of stars bound together by gravity, located about 22,000 light-years from Earth. It's a globular cluster, meaning it’s densely packed and roughly spherical in shape, often found orbiting the outskirts of galaxies like the Milky Way. M13 is visible through telescopes and appears as a bright, fuzzy spot in the constellation Hercules. Studying it helps scientists understand star formation, aging, and the evolution of our galaxy over billions of years.
