M.N. Roy

M.N. Roy, or Manabendra Nath Roy, was an influential Indian revolutionary, intellectual, and politician in the early 20th century. Born in 1887, he initially fought against British colonial rule and was involved in radical movements. He later became a prominent communist thinker, advocating for Marxism in India and founding the Indian Communist Party in 1925. Additionally, Roy was a proponent of self-determination and internationalism, emphasizing democracy and the need for social reform. His contributions to political thought and activism have left a significant legacy in India's struggle for freedom and social justice. He passed away in 1954.
