Müllerian Duct Anomalies
Müllerian Duct Anomalies (MDAs) are congenital conditions affecting the female reproductive system, resulting from improper development of the Müllerian ducts during fetal growth. These ducts usually form the uterus, fallopian tubes, and upper two-thirds of the vagina. When they develop abnormally, it can lead to issues like a missing or abnormally shaped uterus, which may cause complications in menstruation, fertility, and pregnancy. MDAs vary widely in severity and type, and while some women may experience no symptoms, others may require medical intervention to address related health concerns.
