LZ 129

LZ 129, also known as the Hindenburg, was a large German passenger airship built in the 1930s. It was designed to carry passengers and cargo across long distances using a framework filled with hydrogen, a flammable gas. The Hindenburg was famous for its size and luxury, but its tragic accident in 1937, when it caught fire while landing in New Jersey, resulted in numerous deaths and led to the decline of passenger airship travel. The disaster highlighted both the potential and risks of using hydrogen-filled airships for transportation.
