Lytton Report

The Lytton Report, published in 1932, was a response to Japan's invasion of Manchuria in 1931. Led by British politician Victor Lytton, the report investigated the situation and condemned Japan's actions as illegal and unjust. It recommended that Manchuria be returned to China and called for international cooperation to resolve conflicts peacefully. The report aimed to uphold international law and sovereignty but ultimately failed to prevent further aggression, highlighting the limitations of the League of Nations in maintaining global peace during that era.
