Lyre

A lyre is an ancient stringed musical instrument, similar in appearance to a small harp. It typically has a wooden soundbox with arms extending upward or outward, from which strings are stretched. When the strings are plucked with fingers or a pick, they vibrate to produce sound. The number of strings varies, and players can change pitch by pressing or shortening the vibrating length of strings. Historically, lyres were used for entertainment, rituals, and poetry accompaniment in many ancient cultures, especially in Greece. Its elegant design and gentle sound make it a timeless symbol of music and storytelling.
