Lydia Maria Child

Lydia Maria Child (1802–1880) was an American author, abolitionist, and social reformer. She wrote influential books and essays advocating for the ending of slavery and promoting women's rights. Her best-known works include the children's book "The Mother's Book" and the poem "Over the River and Through the Woods."
