LVM2

LVM2 (Logical Volume Manager 2) is a system that allows flexible management of storage space on a computer. Instead of being limited to fixed-size partitions, LVM2 groups multiple physical storage devices into a pool, called a volume group. From this pool, you can create, resize, or move smaller storage units called logical volumes without disrupting other data. This flexibility makes it easier to adjust storage capacity and organize data efficiently, especially in dynamic environments like servers or workstations. Essentially, LVM2 simplifies managing and scaling storage resources to better suit changing needs.
