LVM snapshots

LVM snapshots are a way to create a point-in-time copy of a storage volume without duplicating all data. Imagine capturing the state of a file folder at a specific moment; changes made afterward don't affect that snapshot. This allows you to back up or test data safely, as you can revert to the snapshot if needed. Snapshots are efficient because they only track changes made after creation, saving storage space and enabling quick access to previous data states.
