Lung Tissue
Lung tissue is made up of tiny, sponge-like structures called alveoli, where oxygen from the air passes into your blood and carbon dioxide is removed. These alveoli are supported by a network of elastic fibers and small tubes called bronchi and bronchioles that carry air in and out. The tissue also contains blood vessels thatabsorb oxygen and send it throughout your body. Lung tissue is delicate, flexible, and designed to maximize the exchange of gases efficiently, playing a crucial role in breathing and maintaining oxygen levels necessary for your organs to function properly.
