Lumbopelvic rhythm
Lumbopelvic rhythm describes how the movement between your lower back (lumbar spine) and pelvis work together during bending forward or backward. When you bend forward, your pelvis tilts forward first, followed by your lower back curve adjusting to the movement. The reverse happens when you straighten up. This coordinated motion allows for efficient, smooth movement and helps protect your spine and pelvis from strain. Essentially, it's a natural pattern where the pelvis and lower back share the work, making bending and straightening motions fluid and controlled.
