Lucius Verus
Lucius Verus was a Roman co-emperor who ruled alongside his adoptive brother, Marcus Aurelius, from 161 to 169 AD. Born in 130 AD, he was known for his military campaigns against the Parthian Empire, which were initially successful but later faced challenges. Verus is notable for being one of the few Roman emperors to share power equally with another. He had a reputation for a luxurious lifestyle and a love for Greek culture. After his death in 169 AD, Marcus Aurelius continued to rule alone, reflecting a shift back to more centralized leadership in the Roman Empire.
