LSB (Least Significant Bit)

The Least Significant Bit (LSB) is the smallest unit of digital information in a binary number, representing the color shade or value in digital images and data. In binary, numbers are made up of bits (0s and 1s), with the LSB being the rightmost bit, which holds the least weight. For example, changing the LSB in an image's pixel data slightly alters its color or brightness, often unnoticed. LSB is also used in data hiding techniques, like steganography, where information is embedded into the least significant bits without visibly changing the original file.
