Lower Courts

Lower courts are the first level of courts within the judicial system where legal cases are initially heard and decided. They handle a variety of matters such as minor criminal offenses, civil disputes, family issues, and small claims. These courts evaluate evidence, hear witnesses, and apply the law to determine outcomes. Examples include local or municipal courts, district courts, or magistrate courts. Decisions made in lower courts can often be appealed to higher courts for review. They serve as the foundation for administering justice at the community level and ensuring laws are enforced fairly.
