
Louis Le Prince
Louis Le Prince was an early pioneer of motion picture technology, born in 1841 in France. He is best known for creating one of the first moving images on film in the late 19th century. His short film, "Roundhay Garden Scene" (1888), is the oldest surviving motion picture. Le Prince's work laid important groundwork for the development of cinema, although he disappeared mysteriously in 1890 before he could fully showcase his inventions. His contributions are recognized as a foundational step in the history of movies.
