Lori Lightfoot

Lori Lightfoot is an American politician and lawyer who served as the mayor of Chicago from 2019 to 2023. She is known for being the city’s first Black woman and openly LGBTQ+ person to hold the mayoralty. Prior to her election, she was the head of Chicago’s police oversight body and worked in government and legal roles.
